Does the Vestax VCI-100 work with virtual dj because it seems to be especially compatible with Traktor

The vestax works great with VDJ 5 ;)

And it wasnt made for Traktor, it just comes with a light version of Traktor on a cd :)

I haVE VIRTUAL DJ Home edition 2006 would it work for me or do i need another version?

oh, you need pro version, Virtual DJ 5.. sorry

But you can upgrade for a discount

Hello Norway..you say the Vestax VCI-100 works well can you elaborate how to get it to work properly...i am having problems with the scratch and jog features help! thanks

Has the VCI Jog wheel been mapped yet?
I would love to get my hands on a fully mapped VCI-100

Do you guys use VirtualDJ 5 ? The VCI jogwheels should be possilble to map then

What i'm asking is ; has someone mapped the VC-100 to VDJ5 yet? & where can I get the map/

Kreg you got the vci-100 ? Then do it by yourself, why you ask others ?
If i had it, that's what i would do.

You map the VCI like keyboard shortcuts.. its pretty easy.

But there migth come a premade mapper real soon

Guys it may sound easy but let me say i've been at it now for about 20+ hours with little result..I know what i'm doing but having little success my vci-100 jogs are not moving as nicely as the hercules...is there anyone out there that can help i've got an important gig sunday and need this to work.... Thanks

what value did you set for Jog Wheel , or Stratch Wheel ?

DJ Cel will know the good settings.. will ask him

Whew! Well I had a go at doing some mappings for the jog wheels but I must be thick or something lol What a perfect partnership VDJ and the VCI! Would someone please post a mapping? Please.

64 is a good value for the jog wheels.

for the jogs is the a value of 40 a wohle round like the turntables on your screen ;-)

I'm really sorry but could you just explain (in idiot terms) what the procedure is fro mapping the jog wheels to scratch using the metal platter and pitch bend whilst touching the glass?

Really really appreciate any help.

B

at the moment i had the glasses not configured, only the jogs... with the glasses seems not to be so easy to configure.
please wait a moment, because i am currently mixing a cd for a girlfriend... in round about 40 minutes you will know more... when i start virtualdj, my other software stops playing ;-)

lol no worries! I know what it's like when you're trying to throw down a mix! lol

i hope, i can help. thats my configure of my jogs...

i've said 40 is a good value, i am sorry, its 10.... but try it on you system. i dont know if there a some difference by using different systems..
this configuration works fine for me. if i turn the jogs one round (360 degrees), the the turntables on the screen will turn 360 degrees too..
thats a good feeling ;-)
