Since my music folder on the external is only 37 gigs I have a lot left on my internal drive which is broken down into 2 partitions so i'm strongly considering moving my music to the internal drive partition D and using it. Is there a con to doing this?

If I do this am I going to have to reanalyze the files? The other night it took 2 and a half hours to analyze over 2,000 songs. Silly me forgot to save the database before reformatting the cpu.

if you move them all you need to do is right click on their new location and press recurse should find it all again :) sharpish :)

...using the VDJ browser of course not the Windows Explorer !

All information BPM, cues etc will not be lost.

If you are not sure about what you are doing, then backup the "VirtualDJ Database (Username).xml" file. That's all your work ! Don't lose it !

All files data is referenced by name and size of the file. So, if you simply move files you won't lose any info. If you rename or change the filesize (by adding ID3 Tag info) you break the reference integrity and now must re-analyze and reset CUE points.

So, again, simply moving file(s) everything will still be there.
