Hi,
A friend came over to my place who is also a registered user and he used my wireless internet to download the update 4.1 but it said that he already downloaded it. He never downloaded it so I assume it's because he's using my ip address. Any way, I transfered my update to his computer via a usb memory stick, updated to V4.1 and now he is getting a protection error. He needs to use his computer at a gig ASAP today. Can you help us please?

Yeah, sounds like he owned your ip address.
He should contact the dev team so that they can make the new update avaliable for him for download, and it should replace the old patch

Are you telling us, that from the same computer with the same internet connection, two different users with different names, different passwords and different emails cannot download both the same update twice?

You can, if you log with your username and password you will get update that works only for your serial and than you must log off and he must log in and download his own update. All the installs and updates are linked to uniq serial number. IP address has nothing to do with your problem.
He got protection error number because he installed your update over his full install.
