Topic: the CONSTRUCTIVE thread about BCD2000........ [VDJ 4.1 RELEASED AND WORKS] - Page: 7

This part of topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information

Thats just awefull news, that means Digitalmdj's conspiracy theories about VDJ never intending to support BCD2000 and only support Numark, are false....

Crisis alarm! we need to remove all that for 4.1.... We dont want BCD2000 to work!!! ;) lol

hehe.. just kidding;)

Hmm, you might be onto something... Maybe traces of the old translator or something else are making a conflict with VDJ4 + BCD2000.
Thanx for testing...

Anyone else that can test this too?
REMOVE all traces of old translator that might interfaire with BCD2000 and VDJ4

manquin_dj have BCD2000 work in asio with VDJ4, so we're getting closer to the issues

I am a BCD2000 owner

I have a question for the Atomix Team

How many of the beta Testers (not the Dev Team) did have a BCD2000 during updating time (Ver 3.4 to 4.0)?

As far as i know only Users from VIP level and above have the right to test the beta version. Has any user appart from Dev Team has tested the Ver 4.0? If not why did you not asked help from users that were allready experienced with BCD )like the Bad Boy called digitalmdj for example)?
I am not telling that he has the best manners in the world but he knows BCD better than a lot of users in this forum even from Dj-in Norway. (no offence). I think you understand my point. Dj In Norway started a topic to help Users with BCD to work properly with VDJ, and he does not even uses one of them. How do you expect to help them?
My opinion is that you delicated fooled the BCD Users by telling them that you will support BCD in Ver 4.0. I think that supporting BCD was you r priority No 12.498. I do not really know if you ever plan to support this machine properly, but until that moment you can consider me as a NO FORUM Member since my professional licence will be in my drawer.

Once again bad english from me

Thanks for reading
Greetings from Greece

in retrospect, yes! Of course BCD2000 should have been better tested for VDJ4. Of course;)

Too late for that now...

And I only started this thread to see if anyone could get closer to any solution, a constructive thread... like manquin_dj just did...

Nope, dont have the BCD2000 myself, and never willl ;) But I would still like the issues to be resolved for those who do have it, thats all

I also have the bcd 2000

Never tryed the work around - didn't have time to install two other programs to make it work. ( I have a club to maintain plus my day job)

When I updated to ver 4.0 I installed the updated drivers from behringer's web site and the device drivers on the Bcd install cd.

VDJ would crash almost immediately and when it did stay open long enough i could load a song into only one deck and when i pressed play...... Nothing.

the play button on the screen would light up , the crossfader and volume sliders all worked acording to spec. But nothing else.

I have a amd 1.8ghz comp with 1 gig ram.

oh yes... I disabled my dac-2 form the menu screen.

THis is why I am Irrate.
I was expecting to install drivers, make a few clicks in the config. menu and merrily go on my way.
this is not what happened.

when i installed the demo of dj decks - it works just fine

I don;t have time to install background programms and secondary drivers.

install, click and go - that's what I take to mean SUPPORT and that's what I expect.

now It's time to deliver.

There are updated drivers on Behringer Website. So don't use the old driver on the CD.

I'm not dissatisfied with the current bcd situation, but I would like to say that it's far more responsive a controller than the dac 2 or 3, and i know this because I have all of them right here on my desk. The bcd is a great low cost solution.

It may be a bit flimsier than the dac, but it's right up there with the xp-10 and definitely more robust than the damn hercules dj console....

I agree that a little more work needs to be put into this controller right now.

however, I can dj all night with it the way it is right now!

@dj-in-norway

I have some screenshots when I was using bcd in asio mode, how can I show them here?

yupp
Upload here: http://tinypic.com/

And use BB code in forum

Tinypic will actually give you the BB code that works in VDJ forum ;)

interesting...

Wonder why it worked on your clean system...

At least this will be some valuable information for Dev Team

one cd player is failing, so I check one deck first then the other, altough signal shows 0% works well with tccds, I gues this is because of the riaamp plugin that is on the left deck of vdj.

save pictures onto your hard disk they don't look well on the webpage.

yeah... timecode will work at 0%
just not getting good scratch.

And if you use timecode CD's, pre-amp should be zeroed.

Still quite a mystery why it worked at your clean PC, and yet so many cant get it to work.

Even beta testers had it working, maybe they had same luck as you.

Anyways, hopefully this will even give more clues to what to do for fixing the issues... :)

(BTW ... the pictures at the webpage looks great, if you just press it once, and choose to scale it full scale. Internet Explorer will scale it down to fit screen by default )

I have no needles at this moment I'm gonna borrow some and I will check with tcvs, I think I could get the 100% like the other deck, since bcd has only a dual input (phono and line in)on right deck , left deck only has a phono in and that's the reason why is neccesary the riaamp plugin, well not in this version but in version 3.4

ouuch... online phono in on left deck.

that explains..

yes, although that's a little problem that will be solved soon I guess, but working with tcvs there won't a problem like that.

we got the solutions (tx manquindj and maxpayne)

you need to erase all the registry if you used other software to run 3.4 with bcd before.
HOW TO DO IT:

go to start menu and selec RUN
type REGEDIT into the box belown, a new window will be open
in that window look for this "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE">"SOFTWARE"
in that folder erase the vdj folder and look for the folders that have the name of the software that we used for run 3.4 with bcd (bome, midi yoke), then erase them.
After that go to star menu and click on search
you have to do the same thing look for the folder and files that have vdj and the other folders for bome and midi yoke and erase them (all of them)
then go to control panel and unistall VDJ and B-dj
reset your pc and intall the drivers for the bcd and reinstal vdj 4.0
eberything should be working now..

dj quintana

Thank you dj quintana

Can anyone else confirm that this will will make BCD2000 work??

And that the midi translator after all seems to be ther root of the issues

I realized that it was a conflict between those programs and version 4 when I formatted my pc I have a new hd and everything is running fine in asio mode, so those bcd users now know what to do in order to get their bcd working in asio mode, thanks to dj-in-norway for being helping us to solve this thread , DJ Quintana who was one of the forerunners with this mixer and all vdj community!!
