i ran it on win98. I didnt like it no where near as much as with XP. WinXP is so much more stable. I've never had it lockup once since ive installed it 2 months ago. With win98, it just didnt handle it well. I really would hate for windows to bluescreen in the middle of a set in a club.

I've been using Atomix on Windows XP Pro for about 5 months now and I must say I havn't had any problems what so ever... touch wood! Winamp 2.80 sucks on WinXP.

I ran it for over a year on ME on my laptop. I just last week bought a new laptop, but not because the old one wasn't working well, because I sold it to my brother. The new laptop has XP. It also has 256 ram, where the old one had 128 ram. I will admit, the new laptop seems a bit smoother. However, I want to re-emphasize that I really didn't have anp problems with the ME laptop. it was an amd800... the new one is an XP1300
