Hi, i have a second hand vestax VCI-400 works very good with VDJ. Even these days years later is a awesome quality controller . is updatet to the last firware version, All works ok except :
But I would like to fix this:
In vinyl mode the jog only works if I hold down the button Vinyl , is a firmware thing or map problem ? If I map the vinyl function to another button it works fine.
Is it possible to map the jog so that when the song is not playing I can seek fast throughout the track with shift + jog?
Thanks

Open the mapping page, and touch the jog.
What do you see on the right side of the window ?
Do you see the "JOG_TOUCH" key listed ?
If yes, what's the mapping of it ? It should be "touchwheel_touch"

Are you using a "custom" definition for your VCI-400 ?
Check your VDJ HomeFolder /Devices folder and see if there is a VCI 400 related file there.
Perhaps you have flashed some firmware version instead of the original ? Your VCI is 400 or 400SE or some other ?

no vci400 -related files in device folder . Only a file controllers.dat
The firmware is the last available 2.03 these are the changes are relation with this? there are a 2.0 firmware also in the web , is a good idea downgrade?
These are the main changes in the new firmware to run correctly with Serato DJ.
*******************************
MIDI firmware (version 2.03)
*******************************
- The CUe LEDs for Deck C/D are now controlled by the firmware, not MIDI.
So you can switch it on and off even when no computer is connected.
- If you put the mode switches on the front in the middle position, they light up
Transport certificates are no longer green, as was the case in previous versions.
- The color of the transport buttons can now be controlled by MIDI CC notes.
CC-Note 65-127 sets the LEDs to red/yellow, CC-Note 1-64 sets the LEDs to green.
CC grade zero she changes.
- The jog wheel note is sent independently of the vinyl button.
- The vinyl button lighting is no longer controlled by the firmware, but can
controlled by MIDI.
- The shift button does not light up when pressed.

Will send u a file to test via email
the file i sent you to test only has a possible fix for the VINYL button, but the firmware 2.03 update is having more than that and we dont have the device anymore to test.
I would recommend to go back to the 1.15 firmware the device was originally mapped in VDJ.
The 2.03 zip (Serato update) offers the 0115 file to downgrade.
