Hi Everyone,
Total n00b just purchased a Hercules Instinct and a Home PLUS license of VDJ8, but the mixer is completely lifeless when using VDJ.
When plugged in over USB the lights come on and flash for a bit, then only 'loop' stays illuminated.
Settings are as follows:
Output is set to: Speakers + Headphones
Card is set to 'Two Soundcards' (the Hercules does not show up here at all)
Beneath that in the table I have Master + Headphones as DJ Control Instinct P8.
I can't control anything via the mixer at all, but if I use the mouse/keyboard sound is coming through the speakers.
What gives?

The Hercules DJControl Instinct is natively supported as per this page http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/VirtualDJ8%20Controllers.html but not the Instinct P8, which appears you are trying to use.
Therefore the Plus license (for Instinct) you purchased will not unlock your controller.
Your options...
1. Purchase a Pro license which allows you to use custom definitions, and you can download and use the necessary MIdi mapping files from Hercules Support website.
2. Ask for refund and wait till the unit becomes natively supported (no ETA i am afraid though)
Please contact Support for further details and questions.
