I've tried resetting virtual DJ already still doesn't work I have to manually go in and press the button on the effect area and I can't even click it on the pm fx or my party mix
is there any fix?

Try to delete the native_Beat Grid.ini file you will find in Documents/VirtualDJ/Plugins folder and re-open VirtualDJ

Are there any other "BeatGrid" (dll) files in the /Documents/VirtualDJ/Plugins/SoundEffects folder ? If so, please delete those as well.
If that doesnt work, try to do a fresh installation of VirtualDJ
