Topic: How to disable loop roll

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi all,

I have recently upgraded to 8 and noticed that the loop functionality works slightly different. When I start a loop with the IN the song keeps rolling on the back so that when I hit the OUT button it jumps to the current playing position as it never looped. I can see the coolness of this on certain situations but other times it breaks the mix. Is there a way to disable this functionality?

I would like to exit the loop on the current playing position as it continued playing rather than jumping forward on the song to where it would be if I never looped.

Thank you.

Slip mode, surely?

Ah it's called Loop Roll in VDJ.

Hi,
Thank you for your response. I see that the LOOPBACK option has 3 options, ON, OFF and SMART. All of them behave the same way. I also created a custom BUTTON with the loop_back and in both cases (on/off) still jumps to the forward song position. Any ideas of what I am doing wrong?

Thanks
