I always have three custom buttons programmed with smart_play, pitch_lock, and pitch_reset.
I have them duplicated on a custom pad page, but, also I have programmed three key combinations on my Denon MC7000 to engage them. I've had these programmed on my previous Denon MC6000 MkI & MC6000 MKII for many years.
Makes it very easy to slip in & out of beatmatching. It works great for me. You still have to use your eyes and ears of course.

There's no need to "get that back" because it hasn't gone anywhere. All functions are still on the new default skin.
