Is there any reason (remix mode) does not come up as an option on virtual dj 8?

Remix mode is now available in Pads as a Page that you can select from the drop down selection manu or using the action .. pad_page 'remix points'.
The Pads page also provides the ability to add custom Remix Points (which can be delete from POI Editor only)

Remix mode is not one of the options listed in the drop down menu from the sampler. Is there something I have to do to make it an option in the sampler?

It isn't held there anymore they are held on the pad pages

Thank you! Does this mean you can only use remix points like hot cues and not as a sampler pad?

Remix points are just automatically placed hotcues really so yes just like hotcues.

Remix points never worked as "Samples" and the Sampler area has been used to host a deck feature. In fact you always had an "issue" using Remix mode on 2 decks, as it was only showing the Remix points of the selected deck. Having Remix points on the pads, makes it easier to handle them on both (all) decks. Also, the new approach provides the ability to add custom Remix points on the fly.
