Topic: Pioneer DDJ SX2 mapping issue

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi

I have a problem. I use standard SSX mapping and I don´t know what have happened, but when I use the cue-pads, they don´t start playing when in pause.
If I don´t have any cue-points set and I press a cue-pad, the song starts playing and the cue point gets set(the pad lights up). When I press the pad it jumps to the cuo point. It´s OK.
But if I press Pause, and press the Light up pad(the one with a cue-point set), it doesn´t start playing the song. It only plays the song as long as I hold the button.

I´ve tried to change in the mapping file, with no luck.
Can anyone describe how this should look in the mapping file?
Is there any other setting that can do this?

Thanks

Open the Settings -->OPTIONS tab.
Set the setting hotcuemode to Play

EDIT.
The default mapping of the DDJ-SX2 has the SHIFT+PARAMETER buttons assigned to toggle the Hotcue mode.
So instead of changing the setting, you can also press SHIFT+PARAMETER_LEFT

SHIFT+PARAMETER_LEFT : Sets Hotcuemode to Play (default)
SHIFT+PARAMETER_RIGHT : Sets Hotcuemode to Stutter
when the Pads are in Hotcue mode

Are there mappings for the pioneer ddj sx 2?

Yes - built in to VDJ 8. If you have an SX2 simply plug it in to your computer's USB port & VDJ 8 will recognise it.
