Topic: VDJ looses track of 0% timecode pitch

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Every time I start using VDJ with external vinyl time code I set my deck to 0% and calibrate the time code.

When I move the pitch around on the deck this is tracked 'ok' seemingly but VDJ seems to resample the 0% pitch at the load of each new track.

The end result is that for instance if mix one ends up at 2% on the vinyl deck VDJ seems to take that as 0% pitch for the second track, I then speed that up another 2% to match the other track and now my zero point is 4% on the deck.

It's not hard to see how after a few mixes I've run out of movement and have to abandon the mix, reset the deck to 0% and recalibrate.

Useless. Am I doing something wrong here?

VDJ 8, Serato time code vinyl, Technics SL1200 MKII, Stanton Final Scratch 2 scratch amp, OS X 10.10.1.

Change the setting "pitchResetOnLoad" to "no"

Reset pitch on load is already set to 'no'.

I got really excited then.

I'll try and do a vid.

I've tried going in to the plist file and manually toggling the pitchResetOnLoad option between 0 and 1 and reloading and again it makes no difference.

The only way I can get it to work is by not stoping the deck and then pulling the new track in, clicking yes to the warning message and then reseating the needle. It works I guess but I'd rather have it work as intended.

Video is private

I set it as unlisted rather than private. I'll go and make it public now.
