with this new update it was not like this before the last 2 updateI think i found the problem with timecode vinyl and the serato sl3 rane box in virtual dj 8 not reading the SL3 AUDIO DRIVER CONTROL PANEL I put the buffering size 0 threw 50 and it does not change anything at all the way the scratch sound it like it does nothing in virtual dj 8 at all so i think that why the scratching is stuff right now not crips like before.DEV that has to be the problem help.thanks

That's the buffer size, it shouldn't change the sound, just the latency.

It's also a driver level thing, so outside of VDJ.

It was working before the last 2 update so now when I change the latency it stay on 1 level even if I put the buffering size to 50 it should be a delay when scratching .but it does not so that why I think I am getting so air when scratching slow and the scratch are not crips like before.can not change the latency level. And I try timecode silence on 0.200 and 0.100 and 0.00 and still some air when scratching slow or rewinding it back to scratch.and pitch quality on 1 and 2 same thing..something wrong with timecode vinyl.

Have you updated your ASIO drivers for the SL box, heard the latest drivers were causing problems

To all of you guys having pitch fluctuation issues, if you get some time go to the previous Build 1973 and try this:

go to options - timecodes - and change the timecodepitchsensitivity to 0.

After you see your pitch fluctuations go away, let the developers know we need this feature put back into the next build.

Please respond with your results...

I haven't tested for a few weeks now.

But today, tested and I found timecode still has bugs.

Holding the record steady, I can get track jumps.

I will upload vids to my dropbox to show the behavior.

Here you go, I thought we got rid of this in an earlier build:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/j4s8vmyfs5pdyad/110_0092.MOV?dl=0

The behavior starts at about 50 secs into the vid - you can see that the track is jumping if I hold the track still or slightly move the record

its very extrange, because I using same color of dvs but everything works perfect.did you check your cables, and also show yours settings its imposible to help only with the video.

This was fixed in the past - the last build I think I tested was around #1973. The color of dvs has nothing to do with it.

I just noticed the timecodeSilence opition - in the settings - I will try lower/raise the values here - hopefully this takes care of the jumping issues..

The last time the BPM stayed steady with my DVS was when I had the timecodepitchsensitivity option in the earlier builds and it was set to 0. After this option was taken out, I started getting the same pitch fluctuations as you see in this DVS tutorial video starting at 06:13 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1MQjoiWZww&list=UU1l1ax2yUI7eAoDQY2mR3MQ or this one starting at 07:27 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ormpQX2p-6U&list=UU1l1ax2yUI7eAoDQY2mR3MQ. I have "timecodePitchSliderIgnoreBend" set to yes. To the developers, would you consider putting this option back in.

Anybody having problem when doing a lot of scratching with timecode vinyl ?

I am having issue i am using windows 8/ i7 /16ram when i do some heavy scratching it like i lose the scratch a little bit i can not call it I thought i fix it by Putin pitch quality ON 0 with master tempo on but on that setting i get a lot of Static so i try it with 1 & 2 no master tempo it worst with master tempo on and pitch quality on 2 its a little better but still lose the scratch when i do heavy scratching i try it with SERATO SL3 BOX and the HERCULES RMX 2 same thing happen.timecode need to be more sharper like in built 2003 before u can see the serato box in audio config. DEV need help please.

Friendly Bump to have the "timecodepitchsensitivity" option put back in one of the updates.
After I test the latest builds when updated, I have to go back to using build 1973.811 because that is the last build that my pitch is steady with my DVS.

I don't know the latest build has been fine here on my side. Scratching is on point and my pitch does move up/down but I'm pretty sure I need to either replace the pitch or recalibrate it.

All in all VDJ 8 is damn good when it comes to timecode now. I really can't tell the difference between VDJ or Serato anymore.

Great work 👌

+1 The club where I work at all the Serato guys have tested it and said they are tempted to switch
