When hit the rec button, VDJ records the sample, but not associate the recording to the adequate slot, due this problem you have to manually add the sample to the sampler pad.

When hit any of the four rec buttons, all sampler pads blink green.

Unfortunately this is the way the sampler works now.

Atomix in their wisdom have removed the ability to record directly to slots/pads, and to load & save directly to or from slots/pads.

Now when a sample is recorded it goes into a directory, where it has to be retrieved and manually dragged to a slot/pad.

Not only is this IMO a step backwards for convenience & functionality, it also affects the use of favourite skins from VDJ 7.

Yes, that is exactly what happens (as groovin explained). We will probably update the native files for this unit (among others) to replace the SHIFt action with sampler_stop x ,in order to provide the ability to stop the sample when the selected trigger mode is at Stutter or Unmute. We were just holding this in case the direct sampler recording to a specific pad comes back in the near future, however this doesnt seem to be a priority for the Dev Team atm.

Understood!
Any prevision to a new mapper to the controller?
I'm interested to know how action the rec buttons will perform, there are four of them.

Thanks.

There is only one action to record to sampler, so the 4 buttons will do the same thing more or less. We will probably assign then to record from a specific deck for example, so each one of the 4 would record deck 1-4 to a new sampler file.
We will review the unit shortly.
