Topic: CODEC issue

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I have just bought a new laptop with IntelHD4000 graphics card.

In order to play VOB and MPG video files (MP4 and AVI play fine) I have to change their CODECS to use Windows Media Player Video Decoder.

I can do this in VDJ7, But there doesnt appear to be a way to assign CODECS in VDJ8?

yeah I am having problems playing wmv files I could not find a way to change the codecs in vdj8 either. The files show extreme length ie... a 3 minute video will show a length of like 247.15 minutes. and it will not play smoothly. All the other files play fine like mp4 vob etc.

Indeed the codecs cant be changed in version 8. It uses its own internal ones. If you have any kind of video files that dont play properly or show incorrect time length etc, please upload one of them and share the link here.
thank you

Hi this filetype stutters in the latest release of VDJ PC

Can you please take a look to see if there is anything that can be done?

I have re-encoded this to quicktime and still get the same results whereas if I re-encode to MP4 it playes perfect.

It plays ok on the windows media player
