Topic: (NOTE: we fix and update VirtualDJ 8 daily, ... Where can I get these daily updates ?

There is still this problem of the wrong CBG and the not function syncronisation (after 10 or 14 bars the track and the (synced) sampler are drifting out.
Nearly all my Cuepoints are wrong in v8.0.
With this the v8 is not usable.

All I can see is
VirtualDJ 8.0 (22 May 2014)

where are the "daily updates", where can I get them or did I misunderstood something?

Last but not least: I am a big VDJ Fan and User for 5 Years, made some skins and given hundreds of hours working on my database, key of the Songs, Cuepoints with Names
Because I mix Tracks with LIVE PLAYED MUSIC.
I nearly waited 3 Years for the v8 and now it looks great, but...
The Transition from 7.4 to 8.0 at the moment means that I loose my perfect cue-settings, cbg tunings, keys, because everything has to be checked with the new machine.
I don´t have the power to start again.

The new features are amazing, but (again) the transition is to hard

I COULD CRY!!!! SO LONG WAITING AND HOPING AND NOW THESE PROBLEMS.

And we are not talking about hobby DJing.
I´m working as a Professional Musician at big stages, it has to work.

greetings and hopefully waiting for good news
SAD SVENINO

(Never heard about such problems in Ableton, Bpmstudio or other software)

Thank You PachN

By the way: In case of the shiftet cues I remember the plugin "cuemacro"
There I gave a "loop 4" on cue 2 and it worked.
When it came to cue 2 - it started a loop independently BUT!!!
The loop was shifted aprox. 0.5 sec
So I always had to put the command-cue a little bit earlier... nothing for professional use!
Could it be, that the same routine (cuemacro) now is to be found in the v8?
And it´s making problems with timing?

greetings
Svenino

The same functionality of the Cuemacro Plugin is now offered natively in the POI Editor. You can have several Pois (Cues) as Action (Type) and assign any VDJ script action to the field next to that.

The best thing to do is go back and download the latest public release of VDJ from this website. That will bring you to a build which is only a week or so old, then you can enable beta builds. (Enable both on this website as well as enable it within the software itself by going into options and searching for 'beta'.)

Thank You all.
I allready tried the POI-Editor a week ago.
The Problem is, that there is a difference between the POIs and the Cues in the waveform window.
As I wrote: Untill this problem is not solved, this functionality is not practicable.
And (again) drumloops and Songs are drifting out even though there are synced.
My loops and Songs worked fine for 5 years but now, in v8 there are timing-problems.
May be, there is a new machine, new source code or somthing like that, but:
Sync and Tempo and CBG are the most important things in DJ-Software
Therefore we use such programs.
So I think I have to be patient, untill somebody understands my problems and there will be an update to solve this problems

Am I wrong?

What type of tracks are you having problems syncing with loops?

Tracks and loops stay in sync on my system. If the track has a steady tempo and the loop is well aligned then it syncs for the whole track.

You say "I mix Tracks with LIVE PLAYED MUSIC". Do you mean the tracks you're playing are live recordings, or that you play tracks alongside a band/musicians?

If the tracks are live recordings then the CBG will not line up, because the tempo varies. This was true of 7 too.

I think that's what he meant.

Sorry, but are You kidding me?
As I wrote before: The songs that don´t go sync with the loops went fine on VDJ 7.
I´m not that stupid. Of corse live music does´nt go in sync that easy.
I just was talking about lost sync after a number of bars in the new version.
And again: the same songs and loops worked fine on VDJ 7.

I play along with live instruments (Trumpet, Keyboards...) That for I tested hundreds of songs for their Key.
The VDJ-Key-Detection workes fine, but I need to check out every song to be sure.
My Cuepoints have detailed information like "CUE6 Solo Trumped in dminor than transpose +2"
8 Cues per Song and a few hundred songs - can You imagine the working time for that?
Thats why I can´t start again from zero with a new database !!!
And the moving of the old database to v8 made wrong cuepoint-positions (but that´s another problem...)

Are there some answers about solved problems or just kidding? Our Time is precious.
Sorry, but I´m tired of describing the same problem again and again.
Hopefully a new update will solve the timing problems (and there ARE some in VDJ8) in the new version.

Thank You for any help
Svenino

Yip

I have a progress in the timing problem with my VDJ7-sampler-loops!

On VDJ8 I´ve tried hard with the not working "Sync-Lock"
whenever I went to a cuepoint a little out of time (on purpose) the loop went out of sync with the song.

Now I loaded the VDJ7 Loop into a deck and recorded the loop new.
And it was done!
The loop syncs to the song even when I go to any cue a little out of time.
Fortunately I don´t have so many samples to re-record.
