This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I am having difficulty setting up my controller with Virtual DJ 8. Under card I have single card; two sound cards and splitter. I am using two decks and headphones. If I use the OMNI controller ASIO sound card my sound quality is poor. If I use the Numark OMNI Audio - WDM 2.19.13 (WASPI) the sound quality is good but I am unable to get my headphones to work. I am only able to make my setup work with a mixture of the ASIO driver and Audio driver. My question is there a better way to setup my Virtual DJ and should I not see the OMNI controller under Card.

Do you get a special button in the CARD tab of AUDIO (Config) which offers the default Audio configuration for the OMNI unit ?
Could you also please do the following and provide us some useful data, since we dont own such a device ...
- From Config-->OPTIONS tab, locate the setting .. CreateMidiLog and set it to Yes.
- Close VirtualDJ, make sure the unit is connected and relaunch.
- Without doing anything, close VirtualDJ again.
- Look at the /VirtualDJ folder and post here the content of the Log Report.txt file you will find there.

As for the possible sound issues you may have with the ASIO drivers, this could be due to bad computer performance. Please spend a few minutes and follow instructions provided here... http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Common%20PC%20Performance%20Issues.html or if the ASIO COntrol panel offers any settings, try to increase the latency (buffer) to a safer value - around 10ms

I have adjusted the settings to Master OMNI controller ASIO driver OUT 1 & 2 and Microphone OUT 3 & 4 which works well but the OMNI controller does not appear under the settings audio settings. Please see the log as request below.

Try with builds ending at .701 or higher. In order to get the latest controller updates (the last 3 digits), launch VirtualDJ, leave the software running for a few minutes and relaunch (notice the number on the top of the Config window).
The sound card should be now detected properly, and the special button should be there to offer the default audio setup.

Can you post here 2 screenshots ?
1. The AUDIO tab of Settings with the Sound card drop down list opened.
2. the CONTROLLERS tab of the Settings.
