Not sure if this has already been reported. In 7 I remember being able to set the number of seconds until the end of the song playing that the deck wave window would start to blink. Is this available in 8?

That is a function of the skin, not the program. it is accomplished by using the "songpos" vdjscript command. the program supports the command regardless of the version.
Some of the new skins that are already being created for virtual 8 have it.
I was playing around with the new Virtualdj 8 skin from Dennyo and it flashes the progress ring in the deck when the song is ending: http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/16727/VirtualDJ_8__-_Controller_by_DennYo.html
I made a custom skin for me by editing the default virtualdj8 skin to add this (along with some other modifications I wanted).

Exactly that ^
The default skin never had that and probably wont have it in the future. You can find that feature in custom skins.
Please use the Skins forum for any requests in custom skins or the Wishes forum for any requests regarding future versions
