Guys, how can i repoint VDJ8 to use my external drive for the cache folder? I want to copy the entire cache folder to my external drive and point the software there...I remember in VDJ7 there was a database setting to point it there then I would update the XML file with the new location on all references to my old location, is that doable in VDJ8? thanks

No, the Cache folder could not be changed in version 7 and cannot be changed in version 8 either.
what you can do of course, is use File Operations within VirtuaLDj to move your cached songs to a new folder (in any Drive), and then create a Filter Folder to gather all vdjcache files to refresh DRM authorization easier

so going forward I will have to keep copying any newly downloaded to cache files over to my external drive? no way to force it there?

Yes. I have a filter folder set up on my machine to see which cache files are sat on the wrong drive:
File Type contains 'vdjcache' & drive is 'c'
File Type contains 'vdjcache' & drive is 'c'
