Topic: Endless Loop, asking if I want to upgrade?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I am stuck in an endless look, asking if I want to upgrade.

I say yes, it closes and asks me again.

Suggestions?

I had to download the new version from the website and install.

Works again.

Some others had this yesterday.

Please open task manager and ensure that there a no process or instances of Virtual DJ running silently in the background. Then try again.

On a Mac... (no task manager). Only one version open on Utility Manager.

only one version open... just keeps looping.

Been reporting this for a few days.

Also, the current build is not on the download link.

This just started happening tonight with build 1900 (Mac).

Stuck in the "do you want to upgrade?" loop.

Tried rebooting and still doing it.

Downloaded installer for VDJ8 and reinstalled over the existing install and same problem.

I've deleted the "update1900.ready" and "changelog.txt" files from the cache directory and it downloads them again on the next restart, then goes into the "wanna upgrade" loop again.

if I hit YES, it just loops asking over and over. if I hit NO, then it runs the app with the prior build (1897.749).

Has anybody figured this one out?

Thanks

the bug is present only in the Beta build. There is no issue with the Public one. Please see the Regression forum.
Do not use this forum for the beta builds.

I wasn't even aware that was a beta build (or that I was getting betas). I just went into my account and turned off the "beta builds" checkbox so it won't try to download it again.
