Topic: APC 40 Custom Mapping is not working - Page: 1

This worked in 7.4 but after upgrading last night the controller shows up in the list but the values of my custom vjscripts do not show up and the controller is not responding to the software.

I have been using Rethinks apc40 map and its also not working.

From what i understand v8 is all new from the ground up. A new program, so you may just have to copy all your script language from the v7 folder that its in to the v8 folder. DjDad or DJphantom or djtouchdan could help you more on this.

Guys if you have any troubles with your custom definitions and mapping files, please post here the first lines of those files (the ones that identify them) and be specific on what the issue is about.
We are currently preparing wiki pages for controllers developers.

the issue is the fact that nothing loads in the controller section other than an entry. none of the values on the mapping file shows up. none of the buttons light up. the buttons on the APC 40 do not respond.

WOW, I got it all working the lights have been a issue for me too. its been a cluster from the start. I don't care as some of the new features just changed the way im going to set this up.. the lights for some reason have a issue both bank 1a and 3 have issues but if you copy and paste the same command into the orange bank it will be orange but work.. that's the strange thing. I have to change the set up too. I also was missing some of the buttons in the mapping as well. where the hell did b2 go? lol

Hey - you saved me a job. Was just about to hunt for this.

I'll see whether someone can shed some light as to why some of the mapping options have disappeared!!

ps, when setting this up unplug any other controller.. just the apc. I think part of the issue is the new program has a issue between having this controller hooked to anything else.

drivername doesnt do anything at the moment for the Window computers. You will need to add the vid/pid values of the unit to the definition.
To find the values, goto Device Manager (Control Panel->Hardware), right-click on the AKAI device and choose Properties. Then from the Details tab, choose the Hardware ID.
You can also enable the CreateMIDILog seting from CONFIG of VirtualDj and relaunch with the AKAI unit connected. Then open the Log Report.txt file you will find in Documents/VirtuaLdj folder.
