OK, I'm going to go all in here and say that 7's release date will coincide with the release of Denon's MC6000.
Post boys! -Z-

I must say that the MC6000 did feel very nicely made compared to the VMS4.

Just a shame (for me) that it doesn't have as many USB audio channels.

Wow, is it a latency issue in the above vid that is bothering me or is Richie Rich having some other sort of problem? Probably just the setup / config.

Anyway my two cents... I agree the scratching on VDJ needs to be improved. Both via timecode vinyl and controller. By comparison Traktor's engine is vastly superior in both respects. I do use VDJ most of the time but with Traktor receiving controller data then resending to VDJ via VDJ timecode. That has worked the best for me and truely gets me that vinyl feel. I wish the DEV guys would build their engine and test side by side with Traktor and Serato. Especially at slow speeds and on / off, touch / release, etc. And have Scratch DEV guys on board too, if they don't already.

BTW... I've used both VDJ and Traktor for many, many years and have had multiple controllers (XP10, VCI-100, Kontrol DJ, Hercules, etc) and have used many different timecode vinyl records (Traktor, Serato, VDJ). And, have scratched for 20+ years.

After all that... I still love VDJ! I just want improved scratching ;o)

Hopefully they fix the problems with virtual dj not being fully mapped with the ns7 and nsfx. I have the numark ns7 and I been running it with virtual dj. I wish everything is working now!

I'm with you on that brother...The new specs for 7 do say support for line in/mic support. And the ability to chain effects to that channel also. I hope this includes the NS7. The release must be soon. Why else would they remove the VDj 6.12 pinned thread? If they made us wait till X-mas, that would be cruel and unhumane punishment. Im gonna go to sleep and when I wake up sunday morning, I know Vdj will have done the right thing...

I'm waiting too excited for V7 too but I'm not trying to guess cuz I would get crazy. I just hope that the new version comes with a better sound engine if that's possible(i think i dont know what i'm talking about), and better quality effects like vst or something like that. Perhaps i'm asking for too much, but that would be awesome.

I have a question, Could VDJ improve scratching on the hercules rmx(in my case)??? Cuz I have this thing driving me crazy, it is that I like scratching but unfortunately the RMX has not touch sensitive jogs. I know I need to use turntables, cdjs or touch sensitive midi controllers for a good scratch but I'm afraid that's far away from now. So it seems like these types of midi controllers are not for scratching and i'm gonna have to accept that and wait for something better.

Thanks, greetings from Venezuela!

So that was added over 10 years ago ;)

Oh thanks, and how does that work? I mean how do I use those vst with vdj? Do I put them in the effects' folder?

Unfortunately that is physically impossible if the controller does not have touch-sensitive jogwheels - You will need to upgrade to a controller that has these, such as the new Hercules DJ Console 4-Mx when this is released.

Just copy the vst into the soundeffect folder under plugins.

Aiight I appreciate it brother.

VDJ 7 better be out soon because I was told at the beginning of September that the video problems I am having.

"It should be fixed in the next VirtualDJ version"

Its kinda starting to loose its luster............no chance of dropping even a portion of VDJ7, a teaser of some sort. Maybe like a 1 time 3 or 5 day trail??

Hope to hear or see of a release soon

As I've said before, this really should be included in the manual, because it's very obvious that a lot of VDJ users don't know about it.

It stands to reason that the decks use as samplers was the intention, its just a matter of navigating to the samples just like music files.

Maybe we should all wait and see what it CAN do before we draw conclusions and complain.

OK, I've just tried loading samples into one of the new VDJ7 extra decks......

It doesn't auto loop in the same way as loading it into the sampler. Clicking play just plays it as a one shot.

Is there a way to enable this that I'm missing?

yes you are using a deck as a sampler, do you put milk in your gas tank too?

Yes, if someone from the car manufacturing company tells me that it should work.

The problem is vdj has a dedicated sampler that will auto loop. I suggest holding off any further comment and checking out the user guide first.
