You can make any deck play and loop with vdj script.

Will the drivers for the box be updated cause as of right now it wont work with the advanced config mode. The box isnt even an option.........

Yes I'm aware that there's a sampler section, and I was told at BPM that there have been no changes to it in VDJ7. I also know how to use the existing sampler. I've also read the new manuals and guides, and can find nothing about using the extra decks as samplers.

So can somebody please give me a straight answer rather than turning it all into a big joke?

Bro to use the deck as "sample player" not as a "sampler", all you have to do is, in my case I use drum loops, slap a drum loop on hit the 2,4,8, or 16 loop button, press play and there you have it, instant "sample player" not "sampler". You cant record like the sampler but you can play it as a sampler. So no there not "SAMPLERS" but "SAMPLE PLAYERS"...............

Yeah I can see how that would work, but that's not exactly what I mean.

I take it you're doing that with normal MP3 or WAV files, not the Virtual DJ sample format files with the *.vdj extension?

For example I just tried with the saxo sample. It loads and plays but there's no CBG and it doesn't loop correctly or play in sync with the other deck, as it would if it were in the sampler.

If all else fails I can use Ableton Live via ReWire, but it would be nice to have the facility in the one program.
