The usual way of doing things round here is that the thread for the previous version gets unpinned from the top of the list..
then on SUNDAY MORNING we are graced with the new version to download.
I had a feeling that we would have to wait unto the BPM Show (in the UK) before we all get our hands on the new version (",)
Atomix are there with a stand nodoubt showing off VDJ7...

No they werent there showing off vdj 7, it was 6.12 and the guys on the stand didnt have any of them setup properly, all copies were non english and they barely spoke enough english to answer any questions.

What!?? No 7 this morning! Why you playing with my emotions VDj? And I already broke up with 6.12 last night!...

@DJJamesLake
Thats a bit poor then.
(about the not very good english)
and still no vdj7 either :(
Ah well, maybe it'll be 25th December so we can have it as a Christmas present from Atomix.

V7 was on one screen that I noticed, but the only info on when was "we're nearly ready".
And they wouldn't sell me a T shirt!
Why bring boxes of them if we can't support you by buying one?
Posted Sun 03 Oct 10 @ 12:57 pm
That's bad..I can't believe they can't speak a good English to communicate with people.
Ah, they should give T-shirt as a gift rather than sell them, this is a trade fair and any company do that.

Yea!! went to BPM 2 years ago, and bought a Slappa cd case.. and i got a free Slappa T-shirt (",)

Let's make things clear:
-Tshirts:
We give free tshirts to all VDJ Pro users who come to say hi !
All DJs that rock the booth with their mixes get a tshirt too.
We would never sell a tshirt, it is a free gift.
-VirtualDJ 7:
All computers are running v7, except maybe one.
Rune and I are giving a lot of info about v7.
-English:
Dj-in-norway and I are fluent, Max is italian and expresses himself with the hands, everybody understands him.

Guys, on the shirts...
It's been my experience at the shows that shirts go with new pro copy sales.
We can't give them all away and not have them for sales either.
Selling them to some and giving them away to others is not a good policy.
What I can tell you is that in AC, the DJ Homeboy had brought his own which he had made to wear at the show when working.
I have also bought my own polo/golf shirts to wear when working the shows.
And if you want to buy one, they are available right here on the site also.
http://www.cafepress.com/Virtualdj/4383900
Its a hard thing to control, but if we gave them away, they'd be gone in the first day.
The last day is probably the best time to score a shirt.
We do try to make other things available such as stickers/decals and such to everybody.
These shows are very expensive to do also, so you can imagine what $6 per shirt adds to the costs.
Hope those who went had a great time and got to meet some of the team that was there.
It's always great to place a face with a name at these shows.
And thanks to those who step in to help people with questions and support, its kind of overwhelming when 50 people are in the booth and 4 people are there to handle them all.
It's appreciated for sure.

Well the three I tried weren't running version 7, they were running 6.12. I think you just shot yourself in the foot about english with your last sentence.
I introduced myself as a pro use asking technical questions about a problem I have been having...no t-shirt given
Posted Sun 03 Oct 10 @ 2:56 pm
You went to a trade show for technical support? Why would you do that when you have so many more resources here and its a lot quieter.
Posted Sun 03 Oct 10 @ 2:57 pm
This topic has been the fastest growing one since they mention the release of VDJ 7,the longer the team take to release 7,wether free for all users or some users will have to purchase it,then this topic will grow. This only shows the power of VDJ,its like DJs cant wait to see the release of 99 decks, and all the new features, maybe the use of vdj with other software, the sample engine, and my favorite the timecode and sound engine, well keep the posts coming, let us run our imagination wild about VDJ 7.

No but while I was there, I asked about a problem I have had for the last two years and posted numerous times about and has not been rectified. I asked if there was anywhere in the uk I could get assistance, even that was too much for the guys on the stand to comprehend.

James
We're more than happy to help you, but the show environment is not the place.
Communications are stressed to the max, and detailed question and answer dialog is nearly impossible.
I just looked back, and it seems that the only two questions you have posted as tickets pertained to cross grading from pcvj to vdj pro.
So if you would care to continue this in the form of a ticket, we can resolve this in the proper way rather than derail this topic.
