i would like to high light with the mouse a large number of songs..like you know when you are highlighting the icons on your desktop and the blue field comes out..yea that one..

Select first track, hold down shift key while selecting last track, and voila, all the tracks in between will be high-lighted.

yea i kno that but with the mouse not the key board because i might want to highlight just a buch of certain songs..because if i do what you tell me it will highlight the whole selection of songs..

Standard windows operation when selecting items in a list:
Shift click selects all files between the selected item and the clicked item.
Ctrl click adds the clicked item to the selection.
Trying to do it with just the mouse and no keypresses isn't really practical, it would mess with the drag and drop functionality.
