Of course, even amoungst a crowd of house fans their are certain tracks that would "rock the party best", and to a universal audience their are many house tracks that "rock the party".
But probably not by the artists you mentioned ;).

I like that track "Kaskade - Right Now Baby",. .I have it on some compilation. Miguel Migs I think. Same compilation also has a sick remix of Blue Six - Love Yourself. Oh wait. Maybe it's the chillout collection. Good stuff,.. but the hottest clubs here are "houseless",.. and I'm from Chicago around the time that *real* house was hot in the clubs (84 - 86),.. cats like Colonel Abrahms, Frankie Knuckles and Ralphi Rosario ruled the clubs (You Used To Hold Me,. still a banger). I guess now they call they original Chicago house - "classic house" and that progressive 4/4 electronic stuff is now call house.

I disagree with both of those comments. Funky and Latin house is huge, and I know because I play at the biggest clubs in the city. Tracks by some of the artists I mentioned get the crowd going like nothing else and best types of clubs are not Houseless. Also, progressive is a TYPE of house music, not what they call it now.... wow you guys are really behind times.

I know those artists are popular for house fans :), I have many of them (being a house fan myslef), but it really depends on what kind of club your at, some clubs attract fans of house but people who wouldn't of heard of those artists, i.e commercial only people/places.

That pump it song by BEP has been doing well,.. and you are right *nothing* mixes with that thing! It's 154BPM!!! I don't even have any songs up in that range other than Pump It. I think best bet would be to mix something in at half time so that pump it is doubled. There's a lot of hip-hop clocked at 75-80BPM that would halftime nicely. Other than that,.. just droping something with a long vocal intro is probably the best way to get out of something like that. 154 is ridiculously fast!

Well yea 154bpm is off the measure for Urban pop, so I prefer to take it at half, The dance step would be here (76.8 is about correct), so in that case it will mix into plenty of songs perfectly.
I just tried it as it was mentioned, first song I picked out "Lil John - what u gon do", worked well (originally 75bpm), a tip here: If mixing in with a track at half speed, the flippin doubles effect can bring a track 'up' to speed if the beat sequences permit it, deactivate as you switch the fader, that worked here too :).

maybe i just shouldnt be in this thread alltogether but ive almost disconnected from bubble gum party music.
Ive just disconnected from Get Low, Gold Digger, Yeah, Freek-A-Leek and related songs. i will play these songs the first 2 or 3 months of when i get them... ie i'd have stopped playing a song like Gold Digger in August 2005. :(
maybe thats why i dont have gigs anymore. but i just got tired of common party music. if i'd play these songs i'd take them out by the 2nd chorus. and yes that did piss off a lot of ppl in my [pcdj] parties.
