Topic: Stupid Question - How do I use the VCI-100 Mapper?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi,

I know its a stupid question but how do I install the mapper for the vci-100? i have downloaded and & have the xml file but don't know what to do with it!

I am currenty using version 5.0.7, I have had to downgrade from 5.2 as for some reason the bpms have gone all wrong since upgraded and nothing seems to match anymore.

not too sure about the xml file, the only way i know of that can load xml files for control is on the general midi option in remote control section of configuration. i guess in the older version of vdj theres no native support for the vci 100 so general midi would be the only way to control it. in v 5.2 though it has native support so i dont think the xml file is necessary.

also in v5.2 you will need to re-analyse your tracks as the beat engine has changed.

The XML file is a MIDI map, so just go Config>Remote Control->Right Click "General MIDI"->Config and click "Load". This will import the settings from the XML file.
