I Want to use my desktop to do a bpm scan of all my music files, where all this info is save?
Can I move those files to my laptop later??

There will be a file called "VirtualDJ Database v5.xml in your My Documents/VirtualDJ folder. Copy this one one over to your lappy when your scan is done.

If you are using an external drive, there will be no need to copy anything because it will already be on that drive ;)

All my music is on a 500 GB external drive.
I don't need to worry about it?
Another question:
If a move a folder with music inside to another folder. I need to scan again???
How about the tags?

No, you will not have any worries on an external drive; the database is in the root of the drive itself.

If you move things around, you can probably get away with recursing the music folder, then right-click and select "add to search db."
