Hi all,
Well for the last few months now Virtual DJ has been crashing ALOT. I don't know why but it seems to be coming up alot more now when I load a video although it still randomly does it at other times too (no specific files or extensions - its random).
I am running a decent machine
Intel Core2 Duo 3.00Ghz, 2Gb RAM, 1.5Tb, Asus Board, Asus 8500GT, onboard & usb sound for headphones and using internal mixer running 5.0.rev7. Using Windows XP and my DJ comp rarely sees the internet. All files are fully virus scanned and checked before loading onto a machine and cd's are ripped using AudioGrabber. As you can see I like my machine CLEAN n GREEN. I mus admit though my library could do with a clean up! Could this be the issue?

Test the last version 5.2. Some of these crashes are already fixed.
If your skin is in Full Screen mode, disable it too.
You can now delete your "crashguard report.txt" file.

I've installed version 5.2 on a fresh install of windows. I've followed through the tutorials on preping the machine for VDJ as well and its working MINT with no issues. I did have crackles and pops but disabled the NICs (I've got 2xgig ports and a wireless on motherboard) at BIOS level and this solved that issue. Also I've noticed no more errors in the libray once I scanned it.
I'll do more testing over the next few weeks and report any problems back.
