Topic: Can't install firmware on MK console

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I recently bought the RMX (love it!) to use with my new laptop.

I also picked up a newish Acer laptop that I want to use with my old DJ console. But for some reason I cannot install the firmware.

I've tried everything but can't seem to get VDJ to recognze the console.

I would dearly love to use my older model as a backup.

Can anyone please tell me how I can install the firmware on my old DJ console?

Thanx in advance

I understand that you are trying to install a new firmware on your MK2, but VDJ does not have to "see" it to do this. However, you do need to install the driver package on the pc from which you are performing the operation. Some MK2 series have a firmware called "Weltrend" that cannot be updated at all, and Hercules will tell you the same thing (eventually, after many, many e-mails!). Have a look at this topic for further information, and good luck :)

Thanks for the clarification! I've had at least 7 responses from Hercules tech people, with 7 different possible solutions. None have worked so far. I'll take a look at the link you sent me.
