Topic: what is the best format for music files for VDJ & Mac Power Book?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I am looking to convert my MP3s to a smaller, high quality, music format.
What is the best format and what bit rate should I should rip them too?

I wouldn't go any lower than 192 kbps.

Same here;)

Just remember to change the internal audio decorder to quicktime audio decorder in the codecs in vdj for mp3.

Hey SpinnaJ, what's the advantage of using the quicktime audio decoder on a Mac as opposed to the default one? I've been using the default decoder all this time and I'd hate to think I've been missing out on better performance up 'til now.

One thing for sure, is make ur mp3 run smoothly;)

When I put the quicktime decoder on instead of the default audio decoder. Virtual DJ keesps on crashing.

I use a Macbook, 2 denon DN-S1200, Denon DNS120 mixer. It also makes it inpossibel to use itune when the 2 DN-S1200 are plugged In.

In ur case dydy1, u can try to reset ur vdj to factory settings. N are u sure u try the quicktime audio decoder not the quicktime video decoder? Sorry if i ask this but sometime small things can mess ur ur performances:)

And do u use timescodes?
