Topic: Direct X corrupt

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Well I have been searching through the forums and have not found an answer so I am at wits end and must pose this issue.

I have an Acer 5570-2067 Vista Home laptop.

Not sure the specs as I am having to restore as I write this on my home computer so I can hopefully get it working within an hour to do a gig.

I have been running VDJ5.1 for a couple of months now and have occasionally had to restore to a previous point to get it to work again. For some unknown reason I will start VDJ and get an error message saying my direct x is corrupt. It may work for a dozen or more times AFTER having restored, or it coulld work 2 or 3 before I get this message again. Installing Direct X again does not help, only restoring to a point previous (and it can't be the last one either it seems) will it work again. I am tired of having this happen any suggestions?
