Topic: iTunes bought music "turnoround"?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Dear all,

unfortunately, VirtualDJ does not work with music which is bought in the itunes music store.

Does someone knows any "turnaround" solution. What can I do to use all my bought itunes staff?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Cheers

You can't play the songs you buy because it is a different format. Best thing to do which is annoying is get some blank cd's and burn these songs then import them back on again.

Play your tracks in iTunes and record them using Goldwave. You can then edit and save in MP3 format.

It can be time consuming but good in the long run as you'll have your music backed up in an easy format. Plus you'd save time and money rather than buring onto disc, then ripping from disc.

I would do as discoenergy said to do, no need to buy extra software or risk legal complications with DRM "stripping". Just burn them to cd and rip them back from the cd as mp3s. If you need a good, free ripper try audiograbber (you'll need to copy the lame encoder to the audiograbber folder though);^]
