Topic: Optical ouput on Macbook and VDJ

Macbook pro has an optical output that is capable of 5.1 sound (i.e. if i play DVDs and connect Macbook to my home AV receiver, it plays in full Dolby Digital 5.1). However, if I setup VDJ for external mixer via 4-out card (Left deck front, Right deck back), I can hear only left deck (fronts). My AV receiver shows that output is stereo, and back channels are completely silent. Any idea if it is possible to work around that?
