Topic: Help "Error in the ASIO sound driver" message.

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hello, I keep getting "Error in the ASIO sound driver". Does anyone have a remedy for this? I purchased a brand new lap top today because I was getting the same message in my old laptop.

You get that message when something is not right in your Sound setup of VirtaulDJ.

Thanks, I did that. I have the iput set to timecodes (2 cd players). I have the output set to external mixer (I have a Numark DXM06) and have the sound card set to virutal vinyl. I go to timcode config click auto config and get the same error message that I get when I boot the sofware up. "Error in the ASIO sound driver".

Try going here, it is ASIO4All's site and try using it instead of the default ASIO drivers...

This is how I have my Timecode Sound set up.

Inputs: X2 Timecodes (TCV)
Output: External Mixer
Soundcard: ASIO Icon.
Soundcard(s)Maya <------------------------- Your's should be set to the VV Box.

VV may be slightly different to VirtualDJ, but I hope this works.

This is not possible in this case VV uses a different technology.

You need to set :

Inputs: X2 Timecodes (TCV)
Output: External Mixer
Card : Virtual Vinyl

Then go to performances and choose auto latency try now.

If you have no luck please contact me at sbangs[at]numark[dot]com and i can send you a patch i have been working on.
