Topic: Cannot start song after some time...

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

First: I tried to solve my problem in the German forum without a good reslut, so I will try it here.

When I'm playing music after some time (sporadically) I cant start the new song, so Im pushing the play button but the song isnt starting. If Im restarting VDJ ist fixed.
I've not opened any other programs, I got the newest SK-driver, my external HDD where the music is locatet is FAT32 formatted.

My hardware:
SK: M-Audio Connectiv
Controller: Vestax VCI-100
Computer: MacBook Pro
Version: 5.08

I hope you can help me.
Thanks for reading.

Why don't you open a new topic? I guess that your Problem isn't really similar to mine.

In the German forum I heard that Mr. skyfxl can solve this problem maybe.

ok try these first, reset to factory setting in the info tab. Play with it VDJ to see if the same prob occurs.

If still this not werkin, go to delete ur preference file then run the program again.

its located here :
yourcomputer/users/youname/libary/preferences

its called com.atomixproductions.virtualdj.plist

Also make make sure u updated ur leopard.

anyway i supposed u did have already make ur soundcard as aggregate device?

Hi,
what do you mean with "aggregate device"?

It's a little bit difficult to try if the problem occurs, because sometimes it takes 4 hours that the problem is occuring, so at the weekend I will try.

Thanks

i've had this same problem and so have others...it has something to do with the midi controllers. I use total control and every now and then it happens to me. just move the jog wheel a little and it will free up the song. I've also heard that it may have to do with the usb plug that is next to the power cord but i haven't noticed a difference. (this is on mbp). But next time it
occurs, try just spinning your jog wheel on your controller to see if it releases the song.

I deleted all my old settings and tried it "clean", but the same problem occurs.

Dj Wizard: Im using the Vestax VCI-100 and I also tried by turing the jog wheel, without effect... But Im happy to notice that Im not alone :-(

Just a quick thought but if you change your video files on options > codecs to quick time video decoder and audio to quick time decoder does this help?

Best Regards
