Ok, I am a newbie when it comes to VDJ.
Would this setup work?
usb turn table, plugged into my laptop running vdj, and have the 2 tables plugged into my mixer and the mixer into my amp.

You need a sound card with at least two stereo channels (left and right), that has not only outputs, but INputs, so that the timecode on the turntables activate control of the audio, within VDJ. Does your mixer have that built in?

There's no point in having a usb turntable unless it's a midi turntable. The only real way is with a timecode solution through a sound card.
