after playing for a few hours both decks start to make loud static noise that completly drowns out the music.

Hey i'm having that problem. How do u fix it?
 
are you using a legit trial version, if not, it's easy enough to work out what your problem will be... if it's a legit trail version un install it, clear any other copys of vdj that you may have out of your computer, re install legit copy
