Topic: Playing mp3 and previewing a video without displaying it?

I have each deck of my VDJ on a separate channel going into my mixer, i used the VDJ fade control for video. Here is my problem, I'm playing an MP3 song with no video and I'm going to bring in a music video to play next, but while i'm previewing it or waiting, the video is outputting to the screens. I know if i fade it over to the MP3 deck that it wont display, but it also will not play the audio for the 2nd deck so i can preview it on my mixer.

Anyone have a suggestion on blocking the output until i'm ready?

I'm sure there is a feature for this, but can i output some kind of video effect for the mp3 file to cover it up?

If you disable the main crossfader in VDJ and unlink it, you will be able to use your mixer to cue. Get what I mean. I use it this way and the only thing I am crossfading in vdj is the video as u use the mixer itself to crossfade the audio.

Go into config>video and untick the "linked crossfaders" box.

Leave the crossfaders Linked in the Video tab. But the advice on Disabling the Audio crossfader is correct. Go to Config -> Options tab -> First Column - Crossfader set it to Disabled.
