Topic: why does karaoke plugin cause freeze to vdj 5.0 5.1

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Tried this on three laptops all direct x updated and the software freezes. I have had it running earlier today for the first time and now it fails. Any idea why?

Karaoke plug-in? I assume you mean one of those that do it's best to cut vocals? Link to the plug-in would be helpful

@CHOPSTIX
I think he's talking about the karaoke plugin (found in visual effects) that is included since 5.0.7.

@Chris
Look in your VirtualDJ folder under My Documents and open Crashguard.txt file, then post the content here.

No crash report as it just freezes, Vista message is that the VDJ has stop responding asking if i want to wait or close. Had the same problem on two other laptops. Tried the plug in with PCVJ with similar issues but once i resorted the software back to factory settings on PCDJ it worked but takes PCDJ a long time to close after play. I will keep testing and try and find how best to work around.

I use XP Pro, so my tests would not help you. I hope you get it sorted out, good luck :)
