If u already have the VV box, then Numark total control is the first preferences. But i not sure if it have the headphone input on it. U should use on ur external mixer.

But if u want all in 1 solution minus the soundcard features (u own a vv that is better), then get the mk2:)

on the research that I've been doing it looks like total control has more function than Mk2.
Let me Know if Wrong

The Total Control is simply a controller. There's no audio inputs, or outputs on the unit at all. I've used both units, and the Total Control is much better as far as functions and control go, you would just have to purchase a Numark DJ I/O as well (that gives you a mic input and headphone output), and that would replace your Virtual Vinyl box's output section, because it'll either combine your audio output into a mixed output (based on the Total Control's crossfader position), or give you 2 seperate stereo RCA outputs if you still wanted to have the left and right decks of audio come out seperate. You could get rid of the Virtual Vinyl box all together if you're not using time-code CD's or vinyl.

If you wanted to spend a little more money and have a rock solid (metal) rack-mountable setup, I am now using a Numark CM200USB and a DMC2 in a slant-top rack case. The CM200USB will give you 5 channels of audio (up to 3 mics and like 15 line/phono inputs), 2 of which are your left and right decks of audio from your computer, all via super clean USB. You can crossfade the audio with that, preview your songs with the cue/headphone output, and have multiple mic inputs. The DMC2 is a 3-space controller that'll give you nice blue displays for each deck, even better "smart-looping" controls than the Total Control, and all the same video and audio effects and sampler controls that the Total Control gives you, but you can actually see the effects and samples you're controlling on the units displays, rather than just on your computer screen. Plus, with the DMC2, you can mix your video seperately from the audio, if you so choose to do so.

Hopefully that helps, let me know if you have any other questions, I'd be glad to help!
