Forum: Old versions

Topic: VDJ - 2 sound cards, only 1 works!

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Perhaps my first problem is that I have an older version (2.02), but it works well for my needs - so far!

I am running on Windows XP Home. I actually have 3 sound cards - an on-board sound card, a generic PCI slot sound card, and a new Sound Blaster PCI sound card. They all work perfectly. My problem is... No matter HOW I set the VDJ configuration, it seems that Windows XP does not like to play 2 sound cards at the same time. I would like to send one out to my sound system and use headphones on another, to cue up the next song. I only need 2 sound cards to work, but I can't seem to make it happen.

Can anyone offer suggestions to help???

Wow, 2.02, now that's old ;)
Download latest demo version and try it out.

Thanks for the reply.
I'll try the demo and see if that helps to recognize the 2 sound cards in XP.
(Sorry for the double posting - I'm new to the forums)

Thanks for the suggestion...
I was going crazy trying to figure it out.
I downloaded the new trial version and it handled the 2 sound cards just fine!
That was too easy!
I'm sure I'll buy it. It looks like it has some nice improvements.
