I have 2 turntables and im using the vdj timecodes with a m-audio interface. Everything sounds just fine except for when im recording. When i do my sound setup i put it on the 2 turntables and the external mixer option with the asio driver. THe onscreen crossfader i keep in the middle because i use the crossfader off my external mixer to switch from side to side unless i wont here anything if i just kept the onscreen crossfader to a specific side. Now since the onscreen fader is in the middle when i record it records both sides. So even if i move my exteral crossfader to side A my recorder still picks up sounds from side B. how can i eliminate this?

If you use external mixer to adjust levels & eqs between two signals,
you have to record the master signal going out from the external
mixer back into the computer / "recorder".

Er... changing the crossfader curves does not help your signal flow.

If I understood right, you are playing the music throught VDj (using
timecode to manipulate decks) and than use two stereo outputs to
connnect to an external mixer, which you use for PFL, fades & EQ?

If that is so, you have to get the TAPE output from your external
mixer connected back to a line input of the same computer (if you
have a soundcard with at least 3 stereo inputs, 2 for timecode and
1 for recording), than choose in VDj record settings to record the
correct line in input, or use another program to record.

Even better in this case would be to route the TAPE output from
your mixer to another PC/laptop/mp3 recorder, so you wouldn't
stress the mixing CPU too much.

Yeah man, just like erxon says.

All this should be in the instructions for your mixer, which of course you've read, right?
