Topic: ANY Mac Book Pro+ Hercules RMX+ Virtual Dj Pro SUCCESS STORIES?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I am about to buy the Hercules RMX to go along with my Mac Book Pro 2.5 GHz 4 Giga Ram....I know that NOW the RMX works with Virtual Dj Pro....
So everything seems good and that I shouldn't have any problems...(i hope not)....I just want to know if anyone has the same(or close) set up as i do...and has always performed "flawless" at a gig.
I am a Latin American Club Dj...i dont really scratch or use out of the world effects...i only play Latin American Music and few Trance and Tecno...So i only need a basic set up..
basically...hook up my external hard drive to my Mac...hook up the RMX to the MAC and the Club Speakers...and Mix Away without freezes, skips or reboots....

So are there any success stories? with the set up i have...should i have any problems?

I really appreciate your comments! Thank You!!!

For 5.08 successful gig and practice. The rmx is a nice controller and it works very well. Only problem I had was the drivers on the cd didn't work but the ones from the website do.

VDJ PRO + RMX + Macbook pro 2,4ghz / 2gbRAM / 15,4" working fine.

Tested for more than 1 hour and no freeze or problems.

The one thing i recomend, it's not to use external drives.
It works a bit slowly than internal drive.

Good luck!!

THANK YOU THANK YOU FOR THE RESPONSES!!!! KEEP THEM COMING....

I DO HAVE A QUESTIONS AS FAR AS NOT USING an External Hard Drive....

Are there any other options rather than using the internal memory of the comp....? I have a lil more of 80 gigs of pure music...(not a lot compare to other djs)....im afraid that if i use my internal memory it would make my MAC slow....What do you all think????

Are there any special external drives especifically made for macs...??

Thanks a lot for the help!!!

I recommend a firewire drive better than a usb 2.0 driver.

It's more secure.
