Check your video drivers + DirectX version
It can be a crash in a video codec too

Could the problem has to do with xp and graphic card 1024 mb
I tried already two different ati and two different nvidia
now I have a 8800 GT 1024 mb ddr3

should i go for vista

all my drivers a the newest i can get!

Yes, Vista is recommended for Video use.

[djce] But Windows XP can perfectly work with video too. You are not forced to buy Vista

If you have already tested different video cards, I would suggest you to verify your video codecs. It could be the common problem.

You are right Cel, XP can do video too.
I suggest using K-Lite Codec pack, it's free and has all you need.
Update DirectX also.

I have done this after 7 hours of video playing virtualdj freeze again. I couldn't close the programm!
Here are my system:

AMD Athlon X2 5600+
3072 Ram
Controller: Numark DMC 2
Grafikkarte: Nvidia 8800 GT 1024 MB-DDR3
Soundkarte: M-Audio Delta 1010 LT
3 Maxtor One Touch III Hardrives with Firewire 800

I got still the problem that i have to change tv reselution to get the signal on the tv.
There must be still something wrong....
