running a dxm01 usb mixer, from the computer running virtual dj, from the mixer goes to the amp, and also goes a cable to my co pilot 2, everythign works fine, the little cable is for sound controlled lights, except when the strobe goes, the first time it clicks on, it locks virtual up, and you have to restart the program, what could this be?

Some electrical interference there methinks. Ask any seasoned mobile jock and they'll tell you the same - whenever possible, try to run your sound and lighting from two seperate mains circuits, as lighting systems can interfere with audio (and computer) systems, as you've seen.
