Topic: Stutter and then a crash

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I am using Virtual DJ Pro for a restaurant / bar, and we are experiencing a crash where VDJ will go into a stutter (we did not hit stutter) and then lockup. We then have to do a manual restart and it is beginning to become very annoying. Does anyone have any thoughts, hints, tips, or tricks that might help me out. I am learning all about Virtual DJ as I go so any help will be great!

Well, what are the specs of the computer. Next what are doing before the lockup accures. Can you send us the crash report under documents, VDJ

I can't seem to find the crash report. What kind of file type is it? I really don't know what I am looking for either.

You can find the file under My Documents/VirtualDJ/Crashguard report.txt

Also, post your specs (CPU, memory, video, etc.). You will get more useful advice that way.

There isn't a text file in that location. Could it be somewhere else? Here are the specs (let me know if you need more spec info)

Dell Precision
Windows XP Pro
Service pack 2
Quad-Xeon CPU
2.3 ghz
2 gigs of ram
1.5 TB hard drives

if you have short cuts enabled you may have inadvertently hit a short cut key... just a thought and something to check out...

You still haven't explained what you were doing in the process of DJing that the crash occured. We might be able to recreate or understand better as what the problem is.

I would wait till someone from the team gets back to you on this issue.

It's worth knowing why it's crashing in the first place.

I am hesitant to DL a program that I have never heard of. Has anyone else used this program? I don't believe it is just one file that could be causing the crash.

Does anyone know if I will loose my virtual folders if I uninstall and reinstall VDJ?
