well let me start off by saying i am talking about the set up. I think i know what has to be done, but i need to be sure. My question is regarding this guide

http://www.virtualdj.com/support/VirtualDJ%203%20-%20Advanced%20ASIO%20configuration.pdf

Look at the second step called "Plug Connexion". I noticed that there are two turntable, a THREE channel mixer, an external sound card and a laptop. So what i want to know is
1) what is the wire that is going from the mixer straight to the laptop? (would this be required for me, since i have a desktop computer? if so, where would it connect on my mixer? Heres a pic of my mixer http://www.numark.com/stuff/contentmgr/files/dbdfd46bfb2144a9fd8932db971a3771/large/dm1050_rearconnex_lg.jpg
2) would i be able to use a TWO channel mixer with ONE turntable?
3) do i have to use the external sound card, or can i just use the sound card thats in my DESKTOP COMPUTER?

Let me tell you my current set up. Right now, all i have is a single turntable connected to my mixer, and then the mixer is connected the the soundcard in my computer? Would this set up work with VDJ? If not, please tell me what i need to change.

Thanks, and sorry if this type of topic is already posted somewhere. I tried searching for it, but i couldn't find any and i thought that this is a problem only i have.

Thanks!
