I downloaded the latest drivers for the Hercules MK2 and started using v5.07. It only seems to want to function in ASIO instead of WDM. I'm also getting some distortion when I playing files. Does anyone have any ideas on how to improve this situation?

What are the options you currently have set in your Sound setup ?

In the output drop down box choose 4.1 card. (not the mk2 icon)
Then in the soundcard box choose the Hercules mk2 option.
That should sort it.

With the 08 drivers you can go back to the icon instead of the 4.1. Just make sure that the EQ in headphones box is unchecked. If it is checked it puts the mk2 into asio mode.

Please set the DJ Console MK2 in ASIO in 48KHz 16-bit instead of 44.1KHz before running VirtualDJ 5.
On my 2 PCs (laptop and desktop, both in XP Pro), it reduces significantly the CPU consumption with VirtualDJ 5.07 DJC and DJ Console Rmx, and a too high CPU consumption may cause the distorsion you hear.

In order to reduce CPU consumption, I've tried this, but get an "error in ASIO driver" message. The program will load, but neither deck will play. How do I resolve this error?
